WHAT MOTIVATES US.

"...CONTRIBUTE TO INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE REFLECTION ON THE NATURE OF OUR OWN WAY OF LIVING."

As citizens, but specially as environmentalists, teachers and nature lovers, we are facing a sad reality: the planet is giving signs that it cannot sustain our consumerist lifestyle, which ignores the relationship between humans and all other living things.

In our opinion, the values and beliefs of a person, a group, or an entire society, when based on consumption, competition and profit, may lead to an unsustainable society.

Many projects, including those in which we have been engaged in the last 20 years, have been developed around the world to promote changes in this situation. The APERUNA Project intends to contribute to approach values, concepts and practices different from those we cultivate, opening the door for individual and collective reflection on the nature of our own way of living.

We will visit different regions of the planet focussing on:

Anchor 10

1. ecotourism and relevant landscapes from the point of view of sustainability

2. sustainable community - based projects and actions

3. vegetarian/Vegan cooking and meals based on principles of sustainability

4. the relationship between people and domestic animals.

To inspire others to reflect on how people live and relate to the environment we will share our experience by producing:

 1. an illustrated book with world vegetarian recipes

 2. a photo book of the landscapes visited, highlighting

the aesthetic aspects of the environment and

 3. a catalog of good practices towards sustainability
